Institutionalization of forest data - Learning journey

Published:
Submitted:

Abstract

The institutionalization of forest data (IFD) learning journey aims to create a well-defined pathway for optimizing the use of forest data while highlighting the vital importance of establishing a strong, institutionalized national forest monitoring system (NFMS). It also underscores transparency, sustainability, and data-sharing as fundamental pillars for the successful implementation of an NFMS strategy. It is based on the existing self-paced course available on the FAO eLearning Academy. This course has been adapted and made available in a self-paced mode to share the content and associated resources that were developed for the IFD online facilitated version, delivered from 7 May to 6 June 2025 in English, Spanish and French.
